Ingredients
1) CauliFlower(Gobi) - 500gms
2) Besan(ChickPeas Flour) - 1/2 cup
3) Corn Starch - 1/4 cup
4) Onion - 1
5) Tomato - 1 big
6) Green Chillies - 3
7) Curry Leaves - 4
8) Red Chillies - 1
9) Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 spoon
10) Garlic - 2 cloves
11) Garam Masala - 1 spoon
12) Coriander Powder - 1 1/2 spoons
13) Urad Dal - 3gms
14) Mustard Seeds - 3gms
15) Cumin Seeds(Jeera) - 3gms
16) Oil - 2 spoons
17) Salt - as per taste
18) Turmeric Powder - 1/4 spoon
Procedure
1. Cut the Gobi into small florets and boil them until they are soft and keep aside.
2. Take besan into a bowl, add starch, red chilli powder, salt to it and mix well.
3. Add 1 cup of water to the bowl and mix thoroughly. Ensure there are no lumps in the mix.
4. Add the boiled florets to the bowl and mix until the florets are fully coated with the besan and keep the mixture aside for 20 mins.
5. Meanwhile cut the onions, green chilli, garlic, tomato and get ready for preparing gravy.
6. Take oil in a pan and heat it. Add mustard seeds to it and heat them until they splutter.
7. Add cummin seeds, chana dal, urad dal, red chilli to the pan and fry them until urad dal changes to light brown colour.
8. Add chopped green chilli, curry leaves, garlic and mix the ingredients well and saute for a minute.
9. Add onions and turmeric powder and fry them until onions turn white.
10. Add tomatoes to it and mix properly. Heat the mixture for two minutes until tomato gets fully smashed.
11. Add garam masala and coriander powder and mix all the ingredients well and saute for 2 mins.
12. Add the florets along with the besan to the pan and stir the ingredients well.
13. Add little salt to the mixture and mix thoroughly.
14. Keep the flame in medium and let it cook for 5 mins.
15. Gobi Besan is ready and server hot.
